Participating businesses (like Safeway and Macy’s) contribute a percentage of your credit/debit card purchases to SLOT. To join, register your existing grocery, credit or debit cards with eScrip — SLOT group ID# 137105057. And remember to renew your card(s) by Nov 1st every year!
Now we have added eScrip to the mix. Just 15 minutes of your time to register your club card and credit/debit cards and you're on your way.
1. Scrip Means ‘Substitute Money’
When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing gift cards that are used just like cash. National and local retailers issue scrip where our famiies already shop. These retailers want to support non-profit organizations like SLOT, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gasoline and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for SLOT school.
Because scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. SLOT buys the scrip at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to you for full face value. Most of the discount — from 2 to 15% or more — is retained by SLOT school as revenue.

- Register debit, credit and Safeway Club card
- Use your registered cards to shop at escrip

- A percentage of your purchases will be automatically contributed to SLOT

3. Do the MATH
An organization of only 200 families easily spends up to ONE MILLION DOLLARS per year on food, clothing and other essentials. If these families use scrip for their purchases, they can raise as much as $40,000 to $80,000 per year for their organization --without spending an additional penny.
