The Cross Country season kicked off last Friday at Joaquin Miller Park and our Tigers did an excellent job out on the trail!

More than 700 runners from 32 schools competed and 9 of our student athletes placed in the Top Ten of our division:

• Tatiana Wilson (1st place in K-2; second K-2 girl overall)
• Morgan Schlenk (3rd place in K-2 Girls)
• Tyrone Snipes (5th place in K-2 Boys)
• Charles Winfield (7th place in K-2 Boys)
• Juan Carlos Duarte (10th place in K-2 Boys)
• Lamya Harrell (3rd place in 3rd-5th Grade Girls; 9th overall)
• Amelie Hall (7th place in 6th-8th Grade Girls)
• Emily Dotson (9th place in 6th-8th Grade Girls)
• Izel Machado (5th place in 6th-8th Grade Boys)

In addition, our 6th-8th Grade Girls finished second in our division! Great work! Our next meet is Friday, September 26 aT 5:30 at San Lorenzo Park. Hope to see you there!
