Tiger Tales - June 3, 2008

Dear Families:

This week we say farewell to the class of 2008. The dinner dance was a very wonderful affair. Their parents did an awesome job turning our gymnasium into a restaurant/dance hall. The seventh grade parents worked cheerfully as they served the graduates in their basic black and white.

You are all invited to attend the graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 AM in the church. We are extremely proud of our graduates as they go on to the high school of their choice, and we give special thanks to Mrs. McIntrye for her dedication to the success of her students. We also thank the entire faculty and staff for their role in the academic and religious formation of the graduates.

With the end of the school year approaching, I realize you are making plans for summer programs, but please try to keep academics on your list of daily activities. The teachers will provide your students with a summer reading assignment with their report card on the last day of school. All students are encouraged to read and practice their math facts daily. The public library will have the books your children are assigned to read.

At this time I will say farewell and thank you for all the support and love you have shown me at St. Lawrence O’Toole School. I have spent almost half of my life here, and it has been a fun and wonderful experience full of great memories. I will miss the friendships, but I promise to return and visit often. I wish each one of you a restful and relaxing summer.

Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you and your children who have helped me to grow and appreciate the goodness and beauty in each person. May God Bless each one of you!

Sincerely,
Margaret Reimers

Have a wonderful & safe Summer! See you on August 27th.
