Thank you to the corps of parent volunteers, student particpants, friends, families and staff who made our annual St. Lawrence O'Toole Student Walk a Thon such a success!! We started the day in true Olympic fashion with the parade of classes and the ceremonial first lap around the playground. Our runners were encouraged by our pastor, Fr. Nicholas, who provided a special blessing to the students for a successful day and no injuries.
This year the students in grades Kindergarten through 1ST Grade ran their laps on the playground while students in 2nd Grade through 8th Grade took the long course around the school and church. Thank you to all our lap counters who tracked the progress and offered support each time around.
After the designated lap time was over, everyone savored popsicles, a cool drink and a delicious BBQ. Others moved to games, the basketball courts or enjoyed the music supplied by DJ Malachi. We finished the day with our Raffle Drawing.
Congratulations to
Kernie Sadausky, 7TH Grade, who completed the most laps for
Grades 6-8.
Isaiah Clendinen and
Jess Brown, 1ST Graders, both completed
51 Laps for the
K and
1ST Grades. Izabella Hernandez and
Chandler Stroughter, 2ND Graders, both completed
31 Laps each for the
2ND - 5TH Grades. 1ST Grade completed the
MOST LAPS with 388 total laps! The
7th Grade had the greatest particpants for the day with

All in all, everyone was a WINNER.
